Hamptons, homes, parking, and destination checks after 1.0
When a story task sends you to the Hamptons, a private garage, an underground parking space, or a driver destination, use the in-game map and current patch notes as the boundary instead of relying on old neighborhood maps or copied property tables.
- For the Uncle Fred first-house task in the Hamptons, start by confirming that your save is on the 1.0 release or later. The Hamptons did not exist as a finished public neighborhood in old Early Access guides.
- Use VoogleMaps to search the Hamptons destination and keep the current objective visible. Official 3672 notes fixed cases where no retail buildings were available in the Hamptons and where a Hamptons first-business tutorial could be detected incorrectly.
- Do not infer a universal cheapest mansion price from forum replies or screenshots. The official 1.0 preview only establishes that buyable Hamptons homes exist and are expensive late-game purchases.
- For private-driver routing, keep the process separate from home buying: own or choose a vehicle, set up the Onyx Luxury Chauffeurs contract, drop the vehicle in their garage, then summon the driver from the supported UI.
- If you keep driving across town for tiny tasks, check whether a nearby owned home, garage, parking spot, taxi, or private-driver option solves the travel problem before moving stores. Build 3680 includes fixes for taxi or private-driver travel from gated communities and for private drivers arriving at the correct location, so update before treating a travel route as permanently broken.
- If a car appears lost in an underground parking garage, update to Build 3682 or later and reload the save before buying a replacement. The official hotfix says vehicles that became invisible after underground parking should reappear when you load in, but still check VoogleMaps and the vehicle list if the marker remains wrong.
- If the map opens to the wrong floor or an off-map destination looks unreachable, compare against the latest 3672/3674 notes before assuming the mission is impossible.
